Originally built as a summer retreat by Sir William Ferguson Ducat in the late 19th century, Dekrling Resort is now a charming family-run holiday resort. Away from the heat of India, it features views of the Darjeeling Hills and Kanchenjunga Range. Restored by the Dekeva family, all suites feature original tiled fireplaces and authentic wood and glass works. Cable TVs and a living area are included. En suite bathrooms are equipped with a shower.

Dekrling Resort at Hawk's Nest is located in Darjeeling, best accessed by train from Kolkata (Howrah) to New Jalpaiguri. The journey spans across 90 km. The resort is 90 km from Bagdogra and 58 km from Kalimpong. Car rentals and day trips can be arranged at the tour desk. The resort also provides laundry services and a 24-hour front desk. The on-site restaurant serves Indian, Tibetan, Chinese and local dishes. In-room dining is possible with room service.

This cosy resort is situated next to Green Lawn School. Places that lie close to the hotel are Union Church (Approx. 0.25km) and Tenzing Rock (Approx. 5km). Tenzing Rock is a famous place where the famous mountaineer Tenzing Norgay climbed without the help of any equipment. Adventure enthusiasts can indulge in hiking on this rock. Guests can also explore Lloyd Botanical Garden, Senchal Lake and Peace Pagoda during their stay.
